Today we celebrated the big boss of the company’s birthday. Instead of a traditional birthday cake, my colleague bought dozens of Krispy Kreme and stacked them together.
When the boss saw this, he told everyone in the room, “Do you know eating one of those doughnuts is like consuming seven of MacDonald burgers?”
I ate two three. Gulp.
Tokyo Tower is around Roppongi, so I took a stroll to Tokyo Tower. It was New Year’s eve that day so I thought we go and celebrate year 2008 there. Turned out the stroll became a 45 minutes walk. Ugh.

I didn’t go to top of the Tokyo Tower. Initially I planned [...]
I used my credit card a couple of times when I travelled to Japan but this ordinary credit card returned back to me with unexpected yet an interesting feedback. This is what happened.

I have been keeping in touch with Windows/DOS era since 1992 and not once I thought of straying away from it. But time and curiosity teams up as a deadly combo and slowly they crept onto me, I was thrown into Linux world briefly and by the late 2007, I’ve decided to hook up with a Mac. Reason? Another trip during the evening and this time it’s Shinjuku. It was livelier than in the day, the buildings there were dressed up to blind you with a rainbow rays of colourful neon lights and huge LCD TVs.

1. One of many cinemas in Ikebukuro. I went one (Toho Cinema) to watch “I am Legend“ and it cost me 1800 yen a ticket. That’s almost twice as much I have to pay in Australia!
2. Some politician trying to make her point
3. The streets in Ikebukuro
4. Some performance in a large [...]
‘Shibuyaaaaaaa, Shibuyaaaaaa’. My mate liked the female-voiced auto-station-announcer while we were in the JR Train. O_o’
(Ayumi Hamasaki is everywhere!)
The aggresive promotion drive for Ayumi Hamasaki’s new album Guilty was really overkilling. Posters, mobile signboards and promo music via a mobile trucks/vans were seen at every corner of Shibuya (as well as other districts that we’ve visited).
I took a brief walk around the popular fashion street, Harajuku. Nothing much to see unless you’re into fashion. I’m not. Probably I was way too late to be here and missed all the happening events during the day.
