Supanova 2008

18 April 2008 at 10:45 am » Comments (2)

A mate of mine and I went to this year’s Supanova at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds in Flemington. Thought it was a big event since it was held at the showrounds but came back a little disappointed. First disappointment: it’s not as big and eventful as the website claimed it was. Second disappointment: I had to [...]

3 weeks of games free and counting…

20 March 2008 at 9:08 am » Comments (0)

(Renamed my games shorcut folder as an initiative. Hey, it worked)
It has been more than 3 weeks since my last touch on a game icon on my PC. About a month ago, I have decided to cut down (or totally stop) my gaming sessions in the evenings and start to focus on the unspent time towards building [...]

600

OMFG. 600 bucks to fix a single tooth! The dentists are more bloodsuckers than the doctors here.
Time to give up sweets and start to brush more. ’nuff said.

After 230+ days of cycling and covering 20,000km, the Perakian fella’s finally back to his homeland!
I’ve been keeping track of his journey since he departed from the west coast of the States. Good job dude!

X-philer I am

I was (and I still am!) a X-Files fan. Without fail, I’d glued in front of the idiot box every week and would not miss a single episode of the paranormal investigations. I was so obsessed with it, I would buy books, magazines, novels and anything that is related to it. I even gave trivias to my schoolmates out of boredom.  Soon, [...]

Kris Kringle

Update (08/01/2008): Just got my T-shirt via a parcel mail. I misread the text in the paper: I thought it was placed in my office’s mailbox but I couldn’t find it and I thought some cleaners nicked it during the Christmas break.
I had my share from the Kris Kringle at my company’s Christmas party and I got this:

Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008

20 December 2007 at 10:09 am » Comments (1)

Phew. It’s almost the end of the year and today is the last day of work for 2007. Well, technically it’s tomorrow but the office is having a Christmas party in the afternoon and I bet 80% of the staff here will start partying by 9am tomorrow morning. Am I one of them? Hell no. I’m [...]

Election day!

26 November 2007 at 8:50 am » Comments (0)

Last Saturday, the gang went off for another BBQ session near the Yarra River (next to the Botanical Gardens). This time is to celebrate the end of the semester and the end of another grueling period of exams. I didn’t bring along my camera so no food pics.
(-___-)
And that very day, it happens to be [...]

This is sux0r

I sprained my left wrist yesterday. Serves me right for overdoing my pull-ups at the gym. Now I’m one hand-handicapped (no puns intended); imagine an IT guy working with just one hand in the office – 50% work efficiency. Thank god it’s just a left wrist. I still can answer nature’s calls with ease. [...]

Dumb Seller at eBay

This morning I received an email from SquareTrade, a third party service that offers mediation on disputes between eBay sellers and buyers. Apparently one of the sellers is not happy with my feedback and wanted me to withdraw it. The item was bought in May (roughly 4 months ago) and obviously I don’t remember sh*t [...]

Entering the cult

5 September 2007 at 10:27 am » Comments (0)

Today marks the day where I’ll be part of the huge cult in Down Under.
For the first time I get to spam with a mobile MSN Messenger;
For the first time I get to use a mobile to surf the Web;
For the first time I get to send MMSes and Emails;
For the first time I actually own a brand new [...]

Post Merdeka

3 September 2007 at 10:08 am » Comments (0)

Last Saturday we thought there would be a small scale Merdeka cum Malaysia cultural event in the city so we took the afternoon to look see. Information was handed down from this BikerGangLeader and we believed it without question.
When we reached City Square, we saw nothing but a bunch of people demonstrating/protesting about Falun Gong harrasment/ supression/ etc in [...]

Merdeka = 50 years old

31 August 2007 at 10:02 am » Comments (1)

Today is the day to celebrate the Independence Day. Alas, no holiday for me. Back to work. No plans to do anything. Just go home and spend the rest of the evening just like any other Fridays.
Heard from friends that there are some post-Merdeka events at the Federation Square (though the website didn’t say anything about [...]

Yippie-ka-yay M*****f****r!

13 August 2007 at 5:37 pm » Comments (2)

John McClane is da uber badass and Live Free or Die Hard (or Die Hard 4.0) rocks! It is a must to experience this fourth instalment of the Die Hard quadralogy at the theatre.
Yippie-ka-yay!
 P.S. He’s been losing hair in every single sequel and he’s totally bald now. Guess the terrorists gave him stress once too often.
Update (14th August 2007): Brucy and Maggie Q [...]

Pre-Manifest 2007 fever (4)

6 August 2007 at 9:58 am » Comments (0)

Literally, this pre-Maniifest fever is the real deal. A viral flu sent me home packing with sores and agony for 3 days. I was dead for the day and resurrected the next. Just like a phoenix, it’s rising from the ashes again. Watch out world!
